4 Days Mombasa Budget Camping safari to Tsavo East, Amboseli and Tsavo West Camping

Day 1: Mombasa - Tsavo West

You’ll be picked up from your Mombasa hotel early in the morning. Drive along Mombasa – Nairobi highway and enter the Tsavo West National Park through the Tsavo river gate and begin game drive slowly as we head to your budget safari camp/camp site for lunch and a short rest.

Evening game drive begins from 4.00 pm, visit the rhino sanctuary with a chance to see the black rhinos.

Drive back to the budget safari camp or campsite in late evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tsavo West - Amboseli

Early morning (6.30 am) breakfast, check out of Tsavo West budget safari camp or campsite and proceed with game drive as we head to Mzima Springs where some 250 liters of water gush out of the Chyulu lava flows everyday creating a scenic home for fat pods of hippos and crocodile infested pools.

Drive out of Tsavo West National Park through the Chyulu gate at 10.00 am to join a convoy of other vehicles and General Service Unit (GSU) security details. Drive through the Shetani Lava flow to Amboseli National Park to your budget camp or campsite for lunch. Afternoon game drive in this magnificent park in the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro in search of lions, cheetah, buffalo and elephant – plenty of plains game will be seen.

Dinner and overnight at budget safari camp or campsite in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli - Tsavo East

Early morning (6.00 am) breakfast and check out of your budget safari camp or campsite in Amboseli at 6.30am for a short game drive and exit Amboseli through Iremito gate. Drive to the Nairobi-Mombasa road making a short break along the way then proceed to Tsavo East National Park and enter the park through Manyani gate.

Safari Game drive with a view of Mudanda rock then proceed to your Tsavo East budget safari camp or your campsite where you will check in, have late lunch and relax till 4.00 pm after which you will start another game drive till 6.30 pm then return to the campsite or budget safari camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tsavo East - Mombasa

Wake up at around 6.00 am for breakfast, check out of campsite or budget safari camp followed by an early morning game drive towards Aruba dam, short break at the dark to view different game and birdlife. Proceed with game drive as we head to Bachuma gate Restaurant for extra lunch (payable by client), before driving back to Mombasa – arriving in the early evening.
