12 Days Kenya and Tanzania Combined Safari - Nairobi, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Amboseli, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Manyara
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
Drive from Nairobi to lake Nakuru with a brief stop at the rift valley view point then continue to lake Nakuru arriving with game en-route to lake Nakuru lodge, have lunch then proceed for an afternoon game viewing around the lake, lake Nakuru is famous for a bird watching paradise and its hosts thousand of pink flamingo and other birds life, rhinos both black and white can easily be spotted, the whole big five can be seen in this park except the elephants. Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara.
After breakfast at the lodge for Masai Mara with game en-route drive across the Loita plains as you head for Masai Mara, you arrive Sarova Mara in time for lunch, after lunch you have an afternoon game drive to explore the famous Masai Mara which is host the black manned lion, cheetah and many other wild life and wild birds.
Day 3: Masai Mara
Breakfast at the lodge then leave with picnic lunch for a full day exploring this vast game reserve with much to admire, the annual migration of wild beast and zebras take place in July, august and September. This event takes place across the river Mara from Serengeti to Masai Mara in Kenya. Serengeti shares the same plains with Masai Mara its divide by the Mara River. The event was named the 7th wonder of the world. Late afternoon return to Sarova Mara for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Masai Mara – Amboseli
After early breakfast drive depart Masai Mara via Nairobi for lunch, after lunch continue to Amboseli arrive with game en-route to the Ol Tukai safari lodge for dinner and overnight. View Ol Tukai lodge
Day 5: Amboseli National Park
Early morning game drives then return for breakfast after breakfast take your time to explore this vast land situated on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, when the weather is clear you can see the snow capped pick in the early hours. Amboseli hosts a big eco-system feed by the marshes and swamps which gets its supply of water from Mount Kilimanjaro, herds of elephants and buffaloes wild beast, zebras, gazelles and many other animals can be seen in this park. Day 6: Amboseli –Arusha –Ngorongoro
After breakfast leave Amboseli for Arusha arriving in time for lunch, after lunch proceed to Ngorongoro conservation area en-route to Ngorongoro Serena lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at the lodge depart and descend by 4wd vehicle for a half day crater tour, game viewing in the crater where you can see big herds of zebras ,waterbucks ,wild beast ,elephants ,buffaloes and predators like the lions ,cheetah, leopard and hyenas. Lunch is at the Lerai picnic site. Late afternoon ascend with game en-route at the conservation area, and then proceed to Ngorongoro Serena for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Ngorongoro –Serengeti
Depart after breakfast and take a picnic lunch with you as you proceed for Serengeti with a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge and museum which is a historical site the cradle of mankind, have picnic lunch and continue to Serengeti for a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Serena lodge.
Day 9: Serengeti
Full day is spent exploring Serengeti which is a vast national park; Serengeti means endless plains by the Masai language. Serengeti the central Serengeti has a lot of predators like lions, hyena, cheetah and leopards, the park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wild beast and zebras that occurs between Kenya’s Masai Mara and the Serengeti, we have a variation of birds life e.g. The eagles, ducks, geese, egrets vultures, secretary birds, stork heron kites pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl. All meals and overnight at the Serengeti Sopa lodge
Day 10: Serengeti – Lake Manyara
After breakfast depart Serengeti to Lake Manyara arriving for lunch. Afternoon is spend exploring this lake it’s famous for its tree climbing lions and a large flocks of flamingos. It is at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpments and it comprises of forest, land grassland woodland and swamps, gazelles impalas buffaloes, wild beast hippopotamus giraffes hyena and baboons can be seen in big numbers and 350 species of stocks and flamingos. Dinner and overnight is at the lake Manyara Serena lodge.
Day 11: Lake Manyara – Tarangire
Breakfast at Lake Manyara Serena then depart lake Manyara to Tarangire Sopa lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive viewing then this park which is known for its migration of big herds of elephants wilder beast buffaloes and many other plain and predators. Like the lions hyenas cheetah and the leopards return to the Tarangire Sopa for dinner and overnight
Day 12: Tarangire – Arusha – Nairobi
After breakfast departs to Arusha with game en-route you arrive Arusha in time for lunch. After lunch you board a shuttle or a plain to Nairobi for your home bound flight. End of your safari
