Arusha National Park is located 25km from Arusha town and 35 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport; it is the closest national park to Arusha town. Arusha National Park is a multi-faced jewel, often overlooked by safari goers, despite offering the opportunity to explore a beguiling diversity of habitats within a few hours.
Arusha National Park has diverse topography that can catch your eyes and heart. The notable features are Ngurdoto Crater, Momella Lakes, and Mount Meru, which is among the best places to get a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds. The lakes, forest and Ngurudoto Crater can all be visited in the course of a half-day outing at the beginning or end of an extended northern safari.

The vegetation that support more than 300 species of birds, some are migratory and others permanently live in the forests. Birds mostly seen here are waterfowls, huge flocks of Flamingos can also be seen at Momella Lakes, and if lucky martial eagle African Marsh Harrier, and Taita Falcons

includes concentration of the giraffes buffalo, Zebra, Colobus monkey, bushbuck, reedbuck, waterbuck, warthog, Leopards and spotted hyenas. elephant are there, but not commonly seen, no lions in this park.
